A look at Bruce Meyer’s man-cave

Bruce Meyer has worked hard over the years to build a reputation as one of the world’s great car guys. He makes a point of expressing his love of fine automobiles at every opportunity, whether that is through his involvement with the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles or simply taking a piece of his collection out for a spirited drive. He is also well known and much applauded for being the type of collector that drives the often priceless pieces of his collection often and hard. He’s the type of automotive enthusiast that we all picture ourselves being if we were suddenly graced with a nearly bottomless bank account. So, where does a man like Bruce go after a long hard day of making the wheels of business in Los Angeles turn? To his private man-cave of course.

Bruce Meyer’s private garage not only serves as storage for some of the most historically significant automobiles in history, it also serves as a place where he and his friends can go to drink beer, swap stories, relax, and bask in the magnificence of the last production based car to win overall at Le Mans or the first Shelby Cobra. It’s a refuge of the highest order and as such, its location is secret, known only to a lucky few. So secret in fact that we were blindfolded, spun around in circles, thrown in the trunk of a car, driven around for an hour, led to the garage, then forced to swear a secret oath. The Illuminati MAY have been involved. But seriously, Bruce’s garage is the stuff of legend, and we’re truly grateful for the chance to wander amongst his cars and sit on his fancy couch. While very few of you will ever get the invite, we took the opportunity to sit down with Bruce and talk about some of the highlights of his collection. We hope you enjoy our first video.

Also Bruce, you’re a hell of a guy. You’re our kind of guy, and we salute you.
